Well, here we go again, the meet that everybody has been
waiting for. The loud, ruckus, foot stomping battle at the border is
coming to the Kansas City, Kansas Community College Coliseum at 6:30 pm March 6.
Get ready for two of the best high school teams ever assembled. Two teams
of high school seniors containing 14 state champions, 24 state placers, and 28
state qualifiers. Missouri, having won 12 of the 19 past confirmations
will be trying to hold to their recent domination with 6 high school state

State champions match up at the 145 pound weight class with Olathe North’s Rory
Haug (27-3) wrestling Blue Springs’ Greg Hegarty (48-1). Also, at the 152
pound weight class with Missouri’s Josh Thomson (48-4) from Odessa High School
goes against Olathe Northwest’s Connor Middleton (41-1). Wow! What
match ups.
Kansas’ team will possess the likes of Bo Pursel from Lansing High School a four
time state champion at the 132 pound weight class, and Reece Wright-Conklin from
Lawrence High School a three time state champion in the 182 pound weight
division. Missouri, dominated by teams in the Kansas City area, will put
on the mat state champions in the 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, and 195 pound weight
