               Mark Ewing has been the sports director for WIBW-TV for 2 ½ years and believes those involved in the wrestling world are “some of the hardest working people with little or no exposure.”  Ewing has been doing his part in trying to change that by providing television coverage of meets with special concentration on the state meet.

               Ewing attended Cloud County Community College and got his A.A. in Communications and went on to KU to get his B.S. in Broadcast Journalism.  He graduated in 1984.

               He has previously worked for KSNK-TV Oberlin, as news director, KSNF-TV Joplin, as sports director, WLUK-TV Green Bay, as an anchor/reporter, and KWCH-TV Wichita, also as an anchor/reporter.

               Ewing adds, “Wrestling coaches are some of the best teachers of technique, and sportsmanship.”
