3-2-1A Senior Wrestler of the Year - 2002

Dominating his way through his senior year, Andrew Ubben is the 3-1A selection for senior wrestler of the year. Ubben had a senior year record of 35-0, winning a gold medal at every tournament he entered as a senior.

Overall, Ubben was a three-time state heavyweight champion. He also proved his skills nationally as he earned All-American status by placing fifth at the National High School Senior Championships. He was ranked fifth nationally be Wrestling USA magazine.

Ubben currently is attending Fort Hays State University at the NCAA Division II level. For the Tigers, he is competing in both football and wrestling. He is planning on majoring in computer engineering.

In the classroom, Ubben earned an Award of Excellence with his 2.98 GPA.
