6A Senior Wrestler of the Year - 2003

Stewart Bogart of Shawnee Mission South High School has been selected as the 2003 Class 6A Senior Wrestler of the Year. A perfect candidate for this award, Bogart was a class act on and off the mat.

Bogart claimed two Kansas State titles at 135 lbs. and 140 lbs. Bogart reached the state finals four times, placing the second the other two times. Bogart won every tournament he competed in , in 2003. His career record was 136-5 and was a 4x League Champion and Regional Champion. Bogart was also 2x KC All-Metro.

Bogart was also very active on the Freestyle and Greco-Roman scene. Competing for East Kansas Wrestling Club, Bogart won several All-American honors as a Cadet and a Junior in Fargo, ND.

Stewart’s wrestling and academic accomplishments awarded him well has he received a National Letter of Intent to wrestle at the University of Oregon.
