4A Senior Wrestler of the Year - 2003

After an amazing four-year high school career, Coffeyville-Field Kindley’s Earl Jones is this year’s 5A Senior Wrestler of the Year.

Jones put together a career record of 143-6, winning three state titles. He went 38-0 in his senior campaign, placing first at the following tournaments: Kan-Okla, Burlington, Prairie View, Circle, Regionals, and State. He was twice named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler: the Burlington Invitational in 2001-02 and at the Bishop Carroll Tournament in 2000-01.

This young man’s success extended into his classroom and in the hallway as well. He posted an impressive 3.0 GPA and was named Student of the Year in 2001-02. He was twice named Student of the Month also.

Jones has future plans of hopefully being a teacher and wrestling coach someday.
