JAMIE FINKELDEI
Bishop Carroll High School

Being a 1991 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School himself, coach Jamie Finkeldei was excited to take over the wrestling program in 2004-05. And he did so in exciting fashion, continuing the winning ways of Bishop Carroll by going 14-0 in a tough dual schedule, finishing as the regional runner-up, and winning the 5A state title.

Coaching honors are nothing new to Finkeldei as he was named 5A Assistant Coach of the Year in both 1997 and 2001. He was an assistant for a total of nine years for Bishop Carroll before taking over as head coach last year.

Finkeldei is currently a half-time teacher and half-time Assistant Development Director at BCHS. He holds a Bachelor’s and two Master’s degrees from Wichita State University.
