Larry Gabel wins his sixth 321A Head Coach of the Year award after leading St. Francis to a state runner-up finish with eight state qualifiers and six placers.

Gabel’s team won five tournament titles and were second at three more, and had an 11-1 dual record. They were also league champions and third at regionals.

In 31 years, Gabel has coached 34 state champions, 76 placers at St. Francis. His teams have won six team titles, three runner-up finishes, and have been in the top six a total of 22 times. He also has coached four All-Americans.

Gabel has served on the KWCA board for 31 years and has an overall dual record of 205-104-10.
