6A Assistant Coach of the Year - 2006

Assistant Coach of the Year Steve Jaso. He and Eric DeYoe have been important parts of the Eagle success with head coach TJ Ulmer.

Olathe North had eight state qualifiers in 6A this past season, with three state placers and two in the finals. The team finished third at regionals, fourth at league, and second in the Osawatomie Invitational.

Jaso has been a kids club coach in Olathe from 1986-98 and an assistant at ONHS since 1998. He has coached five All-Americans, including his son.

Jaso’s long-term commitment and loyalty to Olathe North has been key in the history and success of the program.
