Kevin Knapp and his colleague Joaquin Zapata have been key coaching staff members of a very successful wrestling team at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. They have teamed up with coach Jamie Finkeldei to lead the squad to back-to-back 5A state titles.

Knapp and the BC wrestling squad went undefeated in duals, were GWAL champions, 5A regional runner-ups, and 5A state champions in 2005-06. They have repeated these exact feats two years in a row.

Knapp has coached wrestling at Bishop Carroll from 1997-98, and from 2000-2006. He has also coached track and field at Carroll.

Knapp was a state wrestling qualifier in 1996. He is a graduate of Wichita State University in 2000.
