Coach Nate Smith began coaching at Smith Center High School in 2006.  While coaching at SCHS, Coach Smith has helped the team win two state championships.

This past season Coach Smith was part of a team who finished with a 6-2 dual record, 2nd place finishes at the Regional Tournament, the MCL League Tournament, the Oberlin Invitational, Jr. Durham Invitational, and 1st place finishes at Holdrege Nebraska, Grand Island Central Catholic, and the 321A State Wrestling Tournament.

Coach Smith graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2005.  While in high school Smith was part of teams who were state runner-ups in football and wrestling.
