POSITION: Baker University is seeking
candidates for the position of Head Wrestling Coach/Special Assistant to
the Director of Athletics to establish a new program. The
university expects to fill the position by July 1, 2008.
UNIVERSITY AFFILIATION: Baker University is a
member of the NAIA and the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC).
DUTIES: Responsibilities associated with the
position include – recruitment, retention, and supervision of
student-athletes; submitting varsity and junior varsity contests for
administrative approval; budget management; selection and supervision of
wrestling staff members; and compliance with all NAIA, HAAC, and
university policies. The Director of Athletics may assign other
duties with approval from the Vice President and Dean of the College of
Arts and Sciences.
QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree is preferred.
Coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level or its
equivalent is preferred.
