I thought the dual last night was great with some down to the wire matches. Labette beat Neosho 22-18. If the second period luck in OT would have went the Cards way the score would have been 28-12. Cards dominated. Later, Coach Rees

Slammer, I hope you understand that we have wrestled Labette 3 times this year and beat them twice. Also, that was only the second time in school history that Labette has beat us. Just FYI. They were the better team that night, even though they won 5 and we won 5. So they didn't dominate anybody.

Coach Fergola, Kantrere mofrere. This shows you what things are to come. You are now on a losing streak. 22-0 almost 25-0 if Chris wouldn't have won the flip, sounds pretty dominating to me. Whenever the match is over after the 5th match is called domination. Later, Coach Rees

Coach Rees, So let's say we start at 285, then that means we win the first 5 matches and we are up 18-0, then I guess we dominated? We have beaten Shields 4 times now this year. It doesn't matter that they won the first five matches, we won the last five. We also wrestled a 149 pounder at 174 as a fill in. We didn't even have a full line -up in there and still only lost by four. All I am saying is that just because they won that dual is not a sign of things to come. At 165, we wrestled a kid that never even placed in the Kansas state tournament and we only got majored by a state champion. Just thoughts.

I would expect more from a college coach than a bunch of excuses.

Come on now Buc. You are taking this to a level that it doesn't need to be. We got beat, plain and simple. The argument was whether we got dominated and that Labette is catching up with us. These are not excuses they are facts. We beat Labette twice this year and they won once. Another fact is that was only the second time in five years they have beat us. Another fact is, that even with the team we put out on the mat that night, we still won five matches to their five matches. They are not excuses. We got beat and kudos to Joey for the win. He is doing a great job at Labette. All I was trying to tell the other guy is this is not a sign of things to come, one win doesn't mean anything. Thanks for twisting the conversation around.

Okay Dick you have brought the Reeser back into it. It's Joe to you! and if Neosho was around as long as the Cards your winning percentage would definitely be less than 30 percent guaranteed. Go Cards!

Amen to that Slammer! And another thing, The Cards have beaten Neosho once more than mentioned. I recall once in 99-00 when Neosho was ranked #1 in the nation @ Labette, then the next year the Cards beat them the first dual of the year @ Neosho(of course this would be the year that Neosho was unable to compete in post-season competition) and now this one at Baldwin. According to my calculations that makes 3 times. But who knows i suck at math anyways.

I believe they got into trouble for using redshirts illegally. I dont think it had nothing to do with there National Title the year before though. But Sweazy is right, Labette has beaten them 3 times now, i was wrestling on the squad the night we beat them the second time.
Props to Coach 'fro and the rest of the birds, and good luck at Nationals. And good luck to the other teams that are representing Kansas in the next few weeks.

To coaches Fergola comments Coach Rees, So let's say we start at 285, then that means we win the first 5 matches and we are up 18-0, then I guess we dominated? We have beaten Shields 4 times now this year. It doesn't matter that they won the first five matches, we won the last five. We also wrestled a 149 pounder at 174 as a fill in. At 165, we wrestled a kid that never even placed in the Kansas state tournament and we only got majored by a state champion. Just thoughts.
The first dual was 22-20 the second Dual was not that close but Labette did not have 4 of their kids down to weight. That is Labette’s fault. But having to wrestle a 149 at 174 that sound like recruiting problems to me. I didn’t know that if you were a Kansas State wrestling champion you have to pin everyone you wrestle. Maybe I am wrong but who was on their back at the end of the match. Your kid did a nice job in the match of stalling and not giving him any takedowns. On that night Labette was the better team.

Like Coach Fergola said, neosho defeated Labette 2 times in a row and you won 1 time in almost 2 years. That kinda tells me something.
