You have at least three diffrent states coming to the Classic so hands down the brackets are bigger and tougher competion.

The Classic is by far the better tournament to go to for competition.

I haven't been to the tourneys for two years but it sure seemed as though Salina was a really coming on at that time, a much better run tourney in a MUCH better facility ( the bicentennial center) The Salina club and the people that they used seemed genuinely concerned with accomadating fans and wrestlers, more than the Classic bunch who seemed more intent on how many people at ten bucks a whack they could shoehorn into a horse arena to wrestle. Salina was a qualifier to a national event in ohio, and because of that and their handy I70 location drew quality competition from three or four states. The Classic may have gotten better, but Salina didn't need to.

The only thing bad about the classic is the building is very cold in the morning....and if it gets warm during the afternoon...it gets pretty hot. But the Wichita classic is definetly tougher.
Last year Hutchinson was way too crowded. There shouldn't be that problem this year because alot of the good wrestlers will probably go to Wichita.

I personally liked the Hutch tournament as a coach, Of course that was probably becuase it wasn't a horse arena but to each his own I guess.

Your choice is between competition and amenities. Cold building? Yes. Horse smell? Yes. Occasional bad officiating? Where isn't there? Why go there? Competition, competition, competition. I'm not knocking the competition at Hutch, it was always good when we went, but we never went on the same date as the Classic. Good luck to all, wherever you wrestle.
