District II is once again holding open freestyle/greco clinics. This year the clinics will be held at Andover Central Middle School, 903 E. Central in Andover (just east of Andover Central High). The clinics will run ever Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be different clinicians each week starting this Wednesday April 6th. The clinics are free and open to anyone with a current USA Wrestling card. A complete list of clinicians will be posted when the schedule is set.

Speaking of Freestyle/Greco in Andover, we are trying to start a program in Andover. We practice Tues. and Thurs. from 6-8 at AHS (the old high school). I visited the room last night and there were several kids under 10, so any age group is encouraged to attend. This might be a closer option than Derby for some of us eastsiders. Our numbers are small as we are just restarting this program after many years of being absent, but we'd love to have any skill level attend.

Next weeks clinic will feature clinician Jordan Nichols. Jordan is a NCAA-II All American and former Kansas College wrestler of the year as well as being an undefeated state champion in high school. Come out next Wednesday at 6:30 at Andover Central Junior High and join the 20 or so wrestlers who were at the clinic last night.
