Just wondering what time you think the tournament will be over. Im trying to plan some activties for afterwords with my family and what not, when i use to go they were over about at noon or 1 or 2 but not much later after that, just wondering if anyone who is running it could give me an estimate, if not thats cool.

Just received this from Coach Gonzales... Manhattan HS FS-GR wrestling tournament Saturday May 6th. We will provide an Official's clinic at 8:30am for all participants and coaches. 9:00am we will provide a GR and FS clinic on technique. 9:45am would like to start the GR tournament on three wrestling mats in the south gym. This will allow the pairings officials to set up the freestyle brackets. Approx. start time of FS would be close to 11:45am-noon. (Depends on entrees for GR). Interest has been shown from Lincoln, Omaha, Missouri clubs,TOHK,WHY and a high # of wrestlers from eastern Kansas. The tournament should end approx. 4pm. Depends on the # of entry's. Each wrestler will receive a Tee shirt designed by our host vendor Blue Chip Inc. Concessions will be provided and if any wrestler wants to work as an official to earn money for Duals or Fargo, please contact Robert Gonzales to sign up and be paid. robertgo@manhattan.k12.ks.us or call @ 785-587-2150. Manhattan HS 901 Poyntz Ave. South gym. I hope this helps! Mark Miller Manhattan Wrestling

Ya, that does, thanks alot for the info. That works out pretty good. That ought to be a pretty good tourney if that many people show up. i forget the ones i went to were usually in norton and hays and did not usually get enough wrestlers there to make them last very long. Thank again.

There is no deadline… Like most Freestyle/Greco tournaments you show up, pay your fee and step on the scales. We will bracket that morning and wrestle shortly after the rules clinic. You will need a USA card to compete… they will be available for purchase.

We had a great suggestion on Greco weigh-in! We would request that if you got scales use them at home. E-mail us your age and weight and we will bracket for the Greco tournament on Friday night. This way we can start as soon as possible on Saturday morning. You will have to make weight on our scales for the Freestyle. We will reserve the right to question and check weights! So lets please keep it honest! Any questions please contact us. ROBERTGO@Manhattan.k12.ks.us mark_miller@wr.com Thanks Red

For the Manhattan Tournament weigh in 7am-8:30am. At 8:35am., we will have an officials clinic to explain the rules to kids and coaches new to FS-GR. The technique clinic conducted by Danny DeShazer of Wichita and Larry Perez of Topeka will be right after the rules explanation. This tournament has created a lot interest and we are hopeful the five pairings officials will be allow us to start Greco-Roman at approx. 9:30am-10am. All athletes are required to weigh in their signlet and will receive a Tee-Shirt as part of their entry fee. We will offer concession stand for breakfast and lunch, expecting 125 + wrestlers. Directions to Manhattan:
Thank You Robert M. Gonzales
