Kansas defeats Indiana and are now wrestling New York. Altman is up. Mike didn't tell me score.

It was LA not NY. KS wins, break until 6:00 score was close especially with the open weights.

Ive never gotten a chance to see this disney kid wrestle but looking at the results from the cadet duals last week and so far in the juniors duals he must be some kind of monster. What year in school is he? Ill make sure I catch a couple of his matches next year.

Atticus Disney is one of the best wrestlers in the USA for his age and certainly in Kansas. He has been displaying his talent for years at the national level. I can say the same remarks about Romero Cotton. I have seen many excellent wrestlers in Kansas but these two are out
standing. Both are good young men also.

Tonight after the duals, I was on the floor with some of the guys, and tournament director. He was amazed at Atticus as he did a running back flip. They couldn't believe how athletic and nice he was. The boys are in the room, enjoying the final win tonight, and Atticus was talking about how cool it was to be in the position to win the dual. A great kid who has a dad that can be proud of him. All of the guys are having a great time and excited about their dual tomorrow, They know they don't want to wrestle for anything but championship rounds. I think they will pull it off. Would be great to have more fans here for it tomorrow.

Looks like mandatory overtime might make it so I'm not there at all. If you see me on Saturday I probably drove straight through with 0 sleep!

That Caldwell/Adams match was a surprise. It shows you how different styles can sure change outcomes. Caldwell beat Foxen(NY)who beat Adams. Then Adams beats Caldwell 7-0,6-1.

Grant and Nathan had a great match, Nate was too defensive for my taste, but we knew Grant is a great kid and wrestler and wrestled a very smart match.

Atticus was actually ahead, giving up weight and just got caught. Same for Stevo who wrestled a great match. Good thing is that all three were at a weight where they got to eat some supper. Looking forward to having a full team for Freestyle.

I must also state, all of the boys did great. I must personally comment on my roomie, Scarecrow 103 Brandon Goodwin. He went 7-1 and has had a great tournament. Everyone contributed and helped the team. I also think the team knows that with a full roster they would have made it to championship rounds and placed. I think everyone is a little discouraged but ready to go for Freestyle.

Again, have the whole weekend ahead, come down if you can. For those wrestlers who are staying at home and didn't wrestle, come and see some of America's best in action.

The WI/KS dual was a thriller, with some big wins for our guys. Thank you for the opportunity to wrestle some of the best juniors in the nation! Grant really shone at 105, he wrestled a smart match against a great wrestler, and that win was huge for us in that dual! Dallas was last year's Northern Plains Cadet Greco Champ, beating two eventual All Americans, at 189, but separated his shoulder before Fargo (wrestling Levickis). At 16 he is still floating at 197-204 so I'm not sure that Atticus was giving up much weight, but the match was an exiting one! Levickis is a bear, he's HUGE and has been a perrennial competitor in national competition. WI loves to wrestle the best in the nation, and we thank Kansas for one heck of a dual!

Badger fan, thanks for your comments. Grant is such a fine young man. I told him after the dual that he wrestled a really smart match, one of the best I have seen him wrestle. You had a great team with a lot of class.
