OOOO... NCKL split up with Abilene and Chapman going to Baldwin (I should stay in the hotel with the putt putt golf). Other NCKL teams up to Holton (guys going there, make sure on Saturday morning to go eat well at the Waterfall Resturant!)

How are these sites chosen? I've been to the Topeka West JV Tournament the last 4 years, and it NEVER runs well! They are ALWAYS having problems! I know they have a new gym, but the rest of the facilities are terrible (I'd rather have Regionals at the Kansas Coliseum!) If they are hosting, I hope they at least bring in people who know what they are doing, both on the computer and the mat. And, please, somebody help them with the Hospitality Room!!!

As many regionals that are happening in the area, I think it would be pretty cool to have it in a place big like the Expocenter and have 2 or 3 regionals side by side like a 4a regional, 5a and 6a...that would be one way to see a mix of guys before states split.

I would like to thank the people that make the choice where regionals are held, thanks for the change in 4A. Its a long time in comming and Holton has the best gym it the state to hold the regionls in Kansas, and bob will do a great job as he does in the kids sub dist. Mabe now all the 4A placers will not come from the same regionals.

Which gym will Baldwin be using for regionals? At league last year they used the older gym. Also will they be giving brackets, because they hosted a league tournament last year and there were no brackets given! That was pretty sad.

Chanute will win the Regionals Tournament hands down. There is really no competition around this area for Chanute. There only threat is probaly Rusty Mayfield of Columbus.

One bad dad; with all due respect don't get on here and put a target on your team. I am sure Coach albright isn't thrilled about that post. Second of all he probably insn't thrilled about throwing out a comment like "there's not real competition around here"
First off, Rose Hill won regionals last year, returned several quality kids, and got a couple good friends in. So they have to clearly be the favorite to win regionals. Chanute didn't even finish top four at Chanute last year, and lost a couple key guys to boot. As far as competition, Columbus is always a team to watch for. It seems they always come through. Although this year they may be to down to do to much to make a run. Pittsburg has a few studs that will score several points. Douglas is also solid, Andover Central will be there at the top, and so will Labette County.
One Bad Day,
You shoould look at the conference title first and I don't know they can win that. Labette, Fort Scott, and Chanute are probably the top three, but getting through Chanute and Labette wont be easy. Both return several qualifiers from last year. Columbus is always a threat but will probably end up 4ht in that conference. To be honest it will most likely land chanute 3rd in the conference behind Labette Counyt and Fort Scott.

Well i agree on a one thing with One Bad Dad... Yes Rusty Mayfield is about the only real threat from Columbus, But The PITTSBURG PURPLE DRAGONS will unleash the fury on all of the state and easily the SEK!

yea columbus won regionals last year and rose hill was in second but i really don't think that chanute has a snow balls chance in you know where to win regionals with Labette, Rose Hill, Douglass, Andover Central, and Pittsburgh....

psh...we all know Coffeeville is gonna dominate that weak league this year. My brothers swim league is tougher....and he doesn't even have a swim league! It's basically a competition to see who the best of the worst is, so why make a big deal about it? It's embarrassing.
Disclaimer: this post was made in complete sarcasm and in no way am I serious. The swim league crack was a joke, and I apologize to any swimmers I may have offended. The SEK league is an exceptional wrestling league and I really do not think they are a bunch of girls (except for those "dads" on here). Good luck to all those that are in the SEK.

perhaps but is it true? Of course, my family is only a couple of generations out of the tree! And the amount of pain I am putting up with from opposing thumbs ... I'd prefer going back to monkey grips!

In all seriousness,
Rose hill won it last year and has to be the favorite.
Labette or Chanute are the two most likely teams to jump in front of Rose Hill if anyone.
Pittsburg and Andover Central are probably the next most likely to squeeze in the top 5.
One thing to take into account is how tough the regional is. 5 of the top 10 ranked teams are in this region. There will probably be good kids that stay home.
