Outstanding wrestling: I do not think that trent cox deserved the OW becuase 119 wasn't exactly a tough weight. Looking at who placed, i think that either Dustin Bowen of Rose Hill or Kyle Detmer of Bishop Carroll should have received it. If you think about it, LOGICALLY, Bowen took first over 2 returning state finalist (Walker 2nd at 112 to Hansen and Mertins 2nd at 119 to Graham). That impresses me, Congrats to Bowen. For the case of Detmer, he PINNED Hynick (Rose Hill) in the finals. I believe Hynick took 3rd at state last year and lost only 5 matches (if that). Not trying to take anything from Trent Cox, but did any of they guys in his bracket even qualify for state last year? All facts brought forward, Congrats to Cox on his first place finsh tonight.

Detmer pinning Hynick is impressive. BC could have a 3 timer on their hands.

Where's the Canale kid from Rose Hill? And please, no sarcastic answers to this question.

I agree, I thought the winner of the 125lb bracket would be the most outstanding wrestler... It was just sad to see it end in the last second on such a questionable call.

Where's the Canale kid from Rose Hill? And please, no sarcastic answers to this question. The seeding for the 119 bracket was all messed up... Cox was by far the best wrestler in the bracket and the match up that should have been the final was Drone vs. Cox which was the semi final. The number 2 seed Canale and number 3 seed Stults both lost to an unseeded BC kid.

well I wasnt there just saw a video of it and the knees never went to the mat. Maybe it was a takedown, but most refs wouldnt call a takedown where the person gaining a takedown is on their stomach holding on while the person being takendown was standing and if that was a takedown and Bowen had his hands locked around both legs then the ref should have called locked hands and the match should have went to overtime... but hey things happen

definately wasn't a takedown on that 125 final but those things happen. the ref called the match fair and did a good job the whole tournament.
