135 will be a rather tough class with Swoyer Rock Creek ranked 1st at 3-2-1a, then Mosley 4th at 3-2-1a, and Sommer from Prairie View ranked 5th in 4a
another one bites the dust

Last year burlington had a ton of state placers, i wouldn't be surprised if it is a very tough tournament again this year.

Coach Naasz, I suspect they reference is to the Burlington tourney not necessarily the school.
Are you making a POSITIVE difference in the life of kids?

Brandon Bober wasn't it because eureka had a state champ, and a state placer there. Many other schools had placers to, Rock Creek had a placer ...

According to Cosmo's site Independent doesn't go to Burlington anymore, they go to Wichita North.

Just to provide some clarity on last year's tournament field at the Burlington Invitational:
Last year's consolation & championship finals featured some of the best wrestlers in the state including the following state placers:
5 STATE CHAMPIONS: Nash Burtin of Eureka (112), Neil Erisman of DeSoto (171), Jesse Strawn of Holton (189) and Mike Roberts of Holton (275). [Pat Mosley of Wichita Independent state champion in 2005.]
3 STATE Runner-Ups: Wyatt Bechtel of Eureka (125), Brett Swoyer of Rock Creek (130) and Troy Jones of Coffeyville (152).
7 State Placers: Devin Frye of Eureka (103), Chris Carstenson of Rock Creek (135), Colt Nickell of Prairie View (145), Joe Day of Eureka (171), Brandon Bober of Burlington (189), Darrell Kimzey of Prairie View (275) and Michael Claus of Neodesha (275).
In addition to the State Placers above. There were another 8 state qualifiers in Class 4A and another 33 state qualifiers in Class 3A from the tournament field at the 2006 Burlington Invitational.
We are looking forward to another good field in this year's tournament! It is always interesting to see what happens from early January to late February.
I hope this helps! Doug Vander Linden Burlington Wrestling

I got to see a sheet with all the teams that are going to be there and Wichita Independent wasn't on it. Can somebody clarify if they will be there or not. And I'll try my luck at 135, onurfeet.

Wyatt Bechtal is Eurekas 130 pounder. He was a state runnerup last year.
