What or who makes 189 tough? I think 5A has the top 3 guys at this weight. What about the others?

well lancer lou having three state champs just in 5a and im sure a couple of placers in different A's, that makes it won of the tuffest.

130 through 145 are usually tough.

If anyone has looked at the lower weights in 5a and 6a they are going to see that 125 is a lot tougher than 130. 125 is loaded with studs.

in 5a i would have to say either 171 or 189 would be the toughest weight class. even more so now that hutch has dropped down. 215 is pretty good to. if i had to pick the weakest weight class in 5a i would go with 160.

its all about the shoes

I think the top end of 130 is tougher than 125 in 6A/5A.

130: Ely, Bahe, Godfrey and Hagan
125: Caldwell, Tanenbaum, Graham and Walker

Oh contrair-Chief
125 is much tougher-Caldwell has already beaten Ely,
Tanenbaum would beat Bahe, Graham would beat Godfrey and Walker would beat Hagan (though all excellent wrestlers)

"A lot" and "much" are not two comments I would use in this comparison. "Slightly" or "a hair" better would be closer to the truth. Are you talking about Caldwell beating Ely at freestyle state? With no disrespect to Caldwell and Tanenbaum, I'll take Ely and Bahe on those folkstyle match-ups. They were both State Champions with a combined record of 68-3 vs. Caldwell/Tanenbaum at 67-9 and 1st/5th at State.

In all classes, I'll take the 130 guys over 125's.

321A - Broeckelman over Migchaelbrink
4A - Callahan over Bowen
5A - Bahe over Graham
6A - Ely over Caldwell

4A and 6A would be very close but 321A and 5A are wins for 130.

The fact that we're even talking about lighter guys being competitive with the heavier guys gives the edge to the 125pounders

Now we're back to "an edge". I knew you would come around.

I would have to say that Hagan would beat Walker. And, after seeing both of them this year, I also think that Callhan would pin or major Bowen.

Walker is coming off of an ankle injury, I've watched him all of last yr and he is dyno-mite, but this year he's been slouching.

whoa whoa whoa... I wouldn't go as far to say all of that ...

1st off: Caldwell beat Ely in FREESTYLE, not to mention it was a damn close match that could have gone either way ...but freestyle is a whole new world...now I'm not saying he can't beat him in folkstyle..but you have to let the wrestling talk for itself...I've wrestled many people who I would beat in Freestlye/Greco that would beat me in Folkstyle and vice versa

2nd off: As stated before...let the wrestling speak for itself...for some of the 25's to automatically be chosen to win over some damn good 30's is kind of absurd to me ... till they wrestle I wouldn't make that bold of a statement when they are wrestlers of this calibur

Hey Butt-Head what did people do before they invented TV?
Don't be stupid Beavis there's always been TV, there's just more channels now.
Oh yeah, heh heh hehe... progress is cool. Heh hehe heh

i would go caldwell over ely. simply becuase caldwell has been so dominant and i think if you talk head to head match ups you have to throw out the advantage the bigger wrestler would have on weight. if you theoretically put caldwell and ely at the same weight...i think caldwell wins. in the other classes i would have to take the 130lber. except 321A...which i cant really comment on cuz i have seen niether kid wrestle.

I wish i could be 15-1 or somethin like that and be considered slouching. He is also on pace to set the school record for career wins and break his own school takedown record with 138. Yeah thats the true signs of having a bad years even when he's wrestling a weigh class up at 125
