Seniors,Parents, Coaches

Wanted to put a little plug in for SDSU wrestling. For those seniors wanting to continue wrestling in college, I know you are busy looking at different schools, contacting colleges, and making sure you are academically qualified.

My son Sean and I went through through this experience last year. We really didn't know much about SDSU except for that one of Sean's high school team mates wrestled for the Jacks. After visiting SDSU and Coach Liles, Sean knew it was the right fit for him.

SDSU is located in Brookings South Dakota and is about 6 1/2 hours north of Kansas City. It is a small/big school of about 12,000. The wrestling program recently went from DII to DI and they have an exciting open and dual schedule across the country. What sold Sean on the program was the people. The team is competitive and fun and made Sean feel at home from his first visit.

Here is the link to the SDSU wrestling Media Guide.

Wrestlers interested in SDSU can contact Coach Jason Liles at Jason.Liles@sdstate.edu.

Recommend a short email with you wrestling stats, spring/summer wrestling accomplishments, other sports, GPA, and ACT scores. Ask for a prospective student-athehlete worksheet to start the converstation. If someone would like to talk to myself more about SDSU or contact Sean, send me an email and I will get you our phone numbers.
