Sounds like it was a good match.
Also, apologize to Nick Peterson for calling him Josh, I knew better than that.

I know that some of the High School Coaches and fans don't think that all matches in kids are null and void. BUT, Cokeley beat Weller in the finals last year at KIDS State 2-0 in OT. I don't know what Weller did in the "off season" but Cokeley went and went hard getting better. Can you explain the rankings or was it just an oversight?

Just to be fair Weller Beat Cokeley last year at districts 1-0. And unless I'm wrong, being an upper classmen as well as a High school state placer and Kids state placer last year gives Weller the honor of being ranked #1. Also I would be very suprised if anyone on this list didn't work during the "off season" become better. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Jon Trowbridge Ive never had the fear of getting beat thats how most people lose.

I thought Cokeley beat Weller at state. I may be wrong.

Cokeley and Weller split last year. Weller won at District and Cokeley won at State. They will meet soon enough to settle the tie.

John - Actually, I think you could be a bit wrong; if you were at a seeding meeting it would probably go down to who won the last meeting head to head wouldnt it? But, with that being said, I say give Weller the nod being the upperclassman and as Chief noted, they'll wrestle it off on the mat soon enough. They are both very good wrestlers and could go either way from match to match I would imagine.

My explanation is this: this is not the BCS.
I am not sure how ranking an obviously very good freshman second behind a previous state runner-up after one week of a high school season is an oversight.
Kansas is going to the Orange Bowl.

It's early yet ... but I think you need to keep watch on Cory Crawford (145 lbs - Augusta). In the El Dorado Tournament, Crawford upset a fine wrestler in Sean Gaither (Wichita Northwest).
