To be certified and work at the varsity level you must attend a rules meeting and take a test. The rules meetings have been held thoguh there will be regional officials meetings now. I recommend you get in touch with Rick Bowden at the KSHSAA (785-273-5329) to get more and better information.
If you are not interested in working varsity matches you can be hired to work JH and JV matches, as well as work KIDS tournaments. I would recommend you contact the ADs/principals of your area schools to let them know of your interest and willingness. Most schools will have their officiating schedules set already but there are always illnesses, weather cancellations, etc.
Go to your closest KIDS wrestling practice and get a list of area tournaments and directors and contact them to let them know of your interest in officiating.
