I understand that both Kevin Callahan and Jake Tanenbaum have about 150 wins each and that Callahan should break the all time Kansas win record. More importantly, unlike the finals i saw at the BVNW tournament where there was an incredible display of poor sportsmanship, I heard that the Tanenbaum/Callahan matches were hard fought and at the end after the handshakes, you could not tell who won or lost.. Both these kids are great athletes and great sports and represent Kansas quite well. Their younger brothers have done the same. A great tribute to their coaches and families. Other wrestlers could learn alot by watching these guys and how they handle themselves on and off the mat

What about their older brothers? Oh that's right, I wasn't near the wrestler both my little brothers are, so no one has ever heard of me. No big deal to me, especially since I have both of them to brag about. Go Kevin and Al!

Thanks for the kind words. Kevin, Jake, Alan and Zack are all great kids and outstanding wrestlers. Their matches were physical, technical and at a high level. Too bad there had to be scores kept. Kit Harris has done a great job with the Baldwin program and coach Hitchcock has done the same with BVN without any kids clubs. Good luck to all the boys.

Most of the finals matches at BVNW had competitors who showed great sportmanship...win or lose...
