Congrats to all of the place winners in all of the classes. My wife and I were reminising after our oldest son became a state champion tonight at 321a state. Our family has been chasing this dream with him for 13 years. Consider all of the emotion with huge wins and big loses, weekends invested, and practices attended, we would do it again in a heart beat. I was talking to someone about all of this and he said that is what you call "Blood, sweat, and tears." How fitting and how worth it!

Nick,

Blake wrestled a great tournament and a great finals match. It was a pleasure meeting him this weekend. Congratulations.

Nick,
Congrats to your son for his success. It is definitely true that the "Blood, Sweat and Tears" analogy can be applied to both the kids who wrestle and the parents who help make it possible by taking to practices and tournaments and provide constant support. Definitely a team effort! That's what makes state even more intense - so much passion from the kids competing and the families that back them.

I was back in Beloit for the weekend to visit family. My dad informed me the state finals were going to be on T.V., So we decided to watch. I couldn't believe the excitement my dad (Dr. Klenda) had when Blake won his finals match. He couldn't stay in his seat during the match. Congratulations on Blake's championship.
