Never too early to start thinking about Schoolboy duals FS/GR!!! They are June 19-22 this year in Indianapolis, IN. The weights are changed for this year. The new weights are:

Schoolboy/girl: (Born 1994-1995) 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 120, 128, 136, 144, 152, 160, 175, 190, 210, 235

Let's get some interest going for more kids this age to summer wrestle. Call me with any questions 913/207-1056 Mike Pursel

As was stated on another post we are going to utilize the Southern Plains camp this year instead of trying to man/run our own. That was simply overwhelming. The schoolboy kids will get a break on the price of the camp and we are trying to figure out a way to keep the costs about the same for whole experience. Last year we had a group of 30 that we fed for 9 days, provided uniforms, transportation, lodging, the tournament and everything for $200. Between the Southern plains camp and 5 days of the Schoolboy tournament we should be maybe just slightly higher but very close. Especially if you consider you are entered into the southern plains tournament as well which was not apart of last years package.

Thanks and more info to come,

24/7

From the initial conversations I have had with people it looks like we are going to have some great interest again this year. I have kids interested that have contacted me in every weight except 160 and 175 pounder. We will use the KS State FS/GR tournament on May 10 as the qualifier for the team and this will allow us head to head comparison for those weights with several kids wanting to go. Please contact me with any questions.

Thanks and let's get ready for the summer season.

Looking forward to a great turnout this weekend at the state tournament. We will use this as one of the factors for determining the team for SchoolBoy duals. Especially if I have never seen you wrestle much. This is your chance to get seen! Here are some of the kids that I know of that have expressed interest. The ones listed in several weights could move up or down and are listing in no particular order. Kids will have to be flexible to possibly wrestle up one weight some if that is what is needed for the team. If you are not on this list please grab me this weekend so I can see you wrestle. Thanks, Mike Pursel 24/7

70 Dakota Leach
77 Zac Gentzler, Jared Suppes
84 Austin Hood/Cullen Hood/Bryce Shoemaker
91 Bo Pursel/Cullen Hood/Bryce Shoemaker/Brett Roberts/Brogan Humphrey
98 Bo Pursel/Brogan Humphrey/Calvin Ochs/Tim Prescott/Levi Eck
105 Levi Eck/Hunter Haralson/Hunter Stalford
112 Ulysses Deshazer/Jared Johnson
120 Brent Koehn
128 Aaron Puckett
136 Jesse Lemay
144 Matt Reed/Andy Jewell
152 Reece Conklin
160 Riley Denny
175 Jaylen Padilla
190 Darrien Willis
210 Eric Mason
235 Evan Hablueztel

I welcome any others especially any bigger kids. Some of these kids might not come through or there could be others that are better I don't konw about. If I have left your name off it was certainly not intentional. Please hit me up this weekend and let me know of your interest. We can only take 24 kids but we wrestled 17 times last year in 4 days so kids will get plenty of matches. This is a high level national event so we will work to put our best team together, have fun and get some great experience for the kids.

It looks like the cost for the SB trip to Indy (two workout sessions/Clinics one the evening of the 17th and one the morning of the 18th before we leave, 5 days meals except snacks, lodging, entry, transportation, 2 singlets, 2 shirts, one pair of shorts, and a great wrestling experience)will be $180 dollars. This does not include the southern plains camp/tournament which are of great value on their own. I tried to keep this as affordable as possible but the tournament entry from USA wrestling went up $500 and the price of gas pretty much offset the cost that we had in putting on our own camp last year. The southern plains camp is not mandatory for the schoolboy team but I would recommend it. Any questions see me this weekend.

Thanks!

We need to get on the Schoolboy team bandwagon this year and make this team a success. We have been to many tournaments across the country and this was, without hesitation, the best of all of them. Tough competition, great format, wearing the state's colors make it an experience your wrestler will never forget. Let's try and help Mike Pursel and the state board field this team and make it a success. Also, Mike needs parents to help out with logistics, support and other areas. Please try and volunteer if you can, I think you will find it rewarding. Remember, our 8th place last year tied the best KS has ever done. Maybe these guys can place higher this time.

Looks like we are narrowing in the final roster for the Schoolboy Duals. I have to confirm a couple kids, but if your name is on the list please email me at mike_pursel@danka.com so I can email you a waiver and list of info etc. If you name is not on the list and you think it should be please call me immediately. Thanks!

Looks like we are going to have a very competitive team.

70 Parker Howell
77 Zac Gentzler/Jared Suppes
84 Austin Hood/Cullen Hood
91 Bo Pursel/Brett Roberts
98 Brogan Humphrey/Levi Eck
105 Collin Summers
112 Ulysses Deshazer/Jared Johnson
120 Brent Koehn
128 Aaron Puckett/Colton Thomas
136 Jesse Lemay
144 Matt Reed
152 Reece Conklin
160 Riley Denny/Dillon Archer
175 Jaylen Padilla
190 Colton Lissolo/Darrien Willis
210 Eric Mason
235 Evan Hablueztel

Have not confirmed Dillor Archer. We can take 25 kids.

Again please email me so I have you email address. Each kid needs to have a signed waiver, copy of USA wrestling card, (The bigger ones need a copy of birth cert). I will need a $100 deposit by June 6th.

We will meet at Colekely's Barn at 6pm on the 17th of June and return late that Sunday.

Call w/questions, Mike Pursel 913/207-1056

Both our 190 pounders have fallen through. Darrien is still hurt, and Colton has drivers ed.

If anybody knows of any solid 190's please let me know.

mike , what about tyler woodruff. he wrestled 171 in middle school duals believe he went 7-1. not sure what his weight might be right now or even if he wrestles free style but he is a tough kid.
