Can someone give me some info on this young man? Grade? Placings at state? Just curious. Thanks.

im pretty sure hes a state champion but i could be wrong if hes not hes sure wrestling like one

He is a senior. He was 5th in 4A as a sophmore @ 103, and was the State Champion in 4A @ 103 last year, and is ranked #1 in 4A and the All Class ranking @ 112 this year.

It looks like he placed in 07 103 Kenneth Ornelas 37-9 (4-2 record at state)
and obviously as stated above - won it all in 08
Knows how to wrestle AND pin!

great kid! kind of under the radar in previous years though. last year TheMat.com had him ranked 12th in the nation in the junior division at 112 (Furches 9th). He won kids state at least 5 or 6 times. he grew up wrestling with Cody Pack. who is the son of former NCCC coach terry pack and a great prospect out of California. so he has been around the sport for a long time. I have also heard he is abnormally strong in the weight room too. just some extra info i have heard through the grape vine

Under the radar?? No way!! He beat Ruiz and Deshazer on the same day. I'd say he's got some skills.

I personally think the best thing about Kenny is he is either a very smart wrestler, or coached by a very smart coach, or likely both. I am always impressed at how he wrestles his match. To be under the radar, maybe to some but I for one have always been impressed with him in the way he wrestles. He wrestles in such a way, that even in tough matches, he puts himself in a position to have a chance to win.
