Mr. Cokeley is this tournament going to be updated during the tournament? I have nephew from MN at the tournament that we would like to follow his wrestling throughout the day.

500 mile rule just one way or round trip? If just one way...you can go to this tournament if a Kansas team.
According to Google Maps if you were to go from the NE part of Kansas (Wathena specifically) and go to Rochester, it would only be 392 miles one way:
Driving directions to Rochester, MN 392 mi – about 6 hours 2 mins Wathena, KS
1. Head south on 7th St/Arch St toward US-36 92 ft 2. Turn left at US-36 Entering Missouri 40.2 mi 3. Turn left to merge onto I-35 N toward Bethany Entering Iowa 147 mi 4. Take exit 137B on the left to merge onto I-35 N toward Minneapolis Entering Minnesota 145 mi 5. Take exit 13A to merge onto I-90 E toward La Crosse 49.6 mi 6. Take exit 209B for State Hwy 30 W/US-63 N toward Rochester 0.3 mi 7. Merge onto MN-30/US-63 Continue to follow MN-30 0.5 mi 8. Continue on S Broadway/MN-63 Continue to follow S Broadway 9.3 mi 9. Turn left at 2nd St 0.1 mi
Rochester, MN

500 mile rule just one way or round trip? If just one way...you can go to this tournament if a Kansas team. Out of state teams - CLARIFICATION A few of the states Kansas high schools have an opportunity to travel within the 500 mile travel limitation: Colorado, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
While the travel limition may limit opportunity I suggest there are plenty of opportunities within the onerous 500 mile perimeter travel restriction.
There are times when one must seek out opportunity, and there will be more than adequate competition at high school tournaments in the Denver, CO; Kansas City and St. Louis, MO; Lincoln and Omaha, NE; and Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; metropolitan areas.
Several years ago I was contacted by The Clash Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota inquiring about a Kansas team participating at their respected dual team tournament. I contacted KSHSAA and was informed the tournament would be acceptable as Minnesota was within the 500 mile travel restriction. I contacted several Kansas high school wrestling programs (the high school wrestling coaches, not the A.D.) with full rosters and they were uninterested in traveling to Rochester.(Emphasis Added)
