As a wrestling community we need to keep Jake Gehring and his family in our thoughts and prayers...Jakes dad, Dan Gehring lost his battle to cancer Monday morning..He leaves behind 3 children 15, 14, and 1..Jake is an amazing wrestler and we need to keep him in our prayers. Along with Susie who is well known to the wrestling community, AKA: "Loud and Proud Momma!" For those that would like to know, funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10 in Buhler...

Jake and family,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my oldest sister to cancer last June while I was overseas. My prayers go out to you and I wish you the very best in years to come.

Jake has always been a good sport, and he must have gotten it from his parents. Tough kid, but better yet a good kid. His dad taught him well. Our condolences to Jake, mama, and family.

Jake and I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the wrestlers and their families that kept us in their prayers as we went through, and continue to deal w/ the death of his dad. Dan's battle with cancer was hard fought, but in the end, it was lost. I can say from a mother's stand point, Jake definitely gets his drive and passion for wrestling from me, but his determination and dedication to the sport from his dad. Once again, thanks to everyone for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. God bless! Susie Gehring, (aka: loud and proud mama)
