Kind of a BUMP.
Why is CJ one and Maple two? Not that it matters any -- I'm just curious.
Are these two undefeated - if not, who beat them?
1. C.J. Napier - 12 - CO - 4A 2. Kendric Maple - 12 - WH - 6A
I haven't seen Napier before. But, Maple I have seen. Both last year and this. Very impressive.

don't know ask the chief, but i would figure it's the success that cj has had at the national level. i think it would be a doozy to watch though.

It is the National experience that Napier has. He has defeated Maple in Freestyle and is a Fargo All-American. Folkstyle would be a great match! We may see it at Senior Nationals!

Thank you Chief. Good and helpful clarification.
Your mentioned Senior Nationals. A good friend of mine said, maybe at big schools vs. small schools event they might meet? Any chance of that? Or, does one have to be 1,2,3a to be considered 'small school'?
How has Mr. Napier done at Kansas State High School tourneys throughout his career?
Thanks again!

Napier's career record thru 3 years:
2006 - 34-5 - 3rd place 2007 - 35-3 - 1st place 2008 - 37-1 - 1st place
Maple and Napier could meet at Big/Small. It is 5A/6A vs. 4a/321A.

That was probably for the Columbus, Independence, Pittsburg dual meet at Independence. It was an option by the Columbus coach for the Columbus/Pittsburg dual for C.J. to wrestle Blair of PBurg rather than PBurg's 135 wrestler. Columbus' O'Hara also bumped & wrestled at 135 I believe. The strategy paid off as columbus edged PBurg by 1 point. I'm sure those who are more familiar of such options can explain.

This all depends where he weighed in. If he weighed in at 140 he didn't break certification. As the rule states a wrestler may weigh-in one weight above certification and wrestle one weight above that. But if they weigh-in 2 weights above then they will lose certification.
