This would be nice. You could watch 1,2,3A, 4A, 5A, & 6A Check this link out - http://www.wiaa.tv/. I am watching matches on 6 different mats. It would be neat if you could click on a class and then pick a match in Salina, Fort Hays, & Wichita http://www.wiaa.tv/ - it is live video feed.

I just found this on Joanna Chadwick's blog over on kansas.com. I enjoyed every minute of last years finals.
Check out the news release that I got from Kansas 22 Kansas 22 to Air 5A/6A Kansas State Wrestling Championships on Tape Delay
Wichita, Kan. Cox Communications Kansas 22 plans to air tape delayed productions of the Kansas Class 5A/6A State Wrestling Championships at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2 and again at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.
Cox Cable customers will be able to watch the finals as the large school wrestling team and individual champions are crowned. Goddard returns as the 6A defending champion while Wichita Bishop Carroll will defend its Class 5A Championship. After a year in which the classes were split into separate venues, they will combine for their return to its traditional Kansas Coliseum setting for the Saturday, February 28 event. Coverage will begin with the Parade of Champions, continue with simultaneously run final matches, and conclude with the championship award ceremonies.
Cox is proud to continue to offer unique programming on our local origination channel. Kansas wrestling fans should expect a high quality production in a rebroadcast of the championship matches, said Kimberly Edmunds, senior vice president and general manager of Cox Kansas/Arkansas.
Mark Ewing teams up with KSNs Jim Kobbe and analyst Doyle Phillips to provide commentary for all the action on Kansas 22.

Goodland will be streaming audio for area kids including Hoxie, Oakley, St. Francis, etc over the internet. If you still like snap crackle and pop of AM radio it can also be heard at 730 AM. You can actually listen to this on the internet without any snap, crackle and pop on www.kloe.com you will have to download WIN AMP, which is no big deal, but it works great. We listed to lots of round-ball during wrestling tournaments to keep up with all our kids! :-)

Well at least Jim Kobbe wrestled in high school so that will help give this group of announcers some credibility. Kobbe was JV his senior year at Douglass, I believe this was the only year he went out. As for the other two I think Mark Ewing played basketball for the Jayhawks and I can't find any information on Doyle Phillips.

Mark Ewing teams up with KSNs Jim Kobbe and analyst Doyle Phillips to provide commentary for all the action on Kansas 22. I live in Junction City. I have Cox Cable. I have my TV on Channel 22 right now. It has a banner of text along the bottom (10%) of the screen. Then 20% of the right hand of the screen has weather, time, etc. It also shows: "Cox Kansas 22 -- KSN" I have watched channel 22 often. But, it always has this 30% reduction look. Is this what you folks in Wichita see (Cox Cable users) when you watch "Kansas 22"? If so, I wonder if this is what the broadcast will look like or, if they will lose the all the text that is plastered forever on the screen? I'm wondering if this is an event that will just be shown in the Wichita area or if it will be seen in JC as well. If anyone has an insight into this, i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I used TV guide online and searched Cox Communication for the Wichita area. It looked a lot like here in the JC area. It didn't show a channel 22. It does the same when I use TV guide online for JC - yet I DO get a channel 22 as noted in my above post.
Here are the channels that TV Guide Online had for Cox in Wichita:
. . . 12, 18, 19, 23 . . .
Still confused and wishful!

I can't find any information on Doyle Phillips. Mr. Phillips has been involved with Derby wrestling for twenty plus years. Mr. Phillips son is a current Derby assistant coach. Doyle has assisted with the Derby High School Invitational for many, many years. Doyle is very knowledgeable and will bring credibility to the color commentator function of the broadcast.

Entitlement syndrome.
We should be thankful that they are broadcasting it at ALL!
I'd watch it with no commentary and be thankful.

Does anyone know where we might be able to get a copy of the 6A finals. We do not have Kansas 22 and I have tried all morning to find a number to call and see if one is available for purchase....
