I was wondering or just plain curious what some of the senior wrestlers are doing after this weekend. Who is going to be back in the practice room in a week for baseball, golf, tennis or track? What plans do some of the seniors have for after high school? I'm not only interested in the ones that will be continuing their wrestling career but for all seniors. Just a line or two to let people know.

I'll start with Chapman's:
Michael Poland will be leaving his wrestling shoes behind and getting out his golf bag as he looks forward to returning to state golf.
Jess Lemon has already dragged out his catcher's gear and is eager to start his favorite sport.
Noel Richardson will be competing in track and soccer. Next year, he will once again find himself on a wrestling mat in the Merchant Marines.

Wrestling isn't done, just the HS season. For those that want to wrestle there will be opportunities available for additional folkstyle tournaments and then there is alwyays the Freestyle, Greco seasons coming up right away.

130 Nicholas Mueller - Wichita State (full-ride academic scholarship) - major: engineering
152 Tyler Jones - possibly military
189 John Hein - possibly Hutch Juco

An interesting topic to see what these guys want to do with their lives

Not 100% sure of the accuracy but here goes...

Goodland Cowboys

125 Kade Sheldon going to Austin, TX to major in music and be in a band

135 Hector Sariana unsure, maybe move to Denver to attend a trade school

152 Keegan Smith Attend college to major in teaching and will hopefully coach wrestling someday...those kids will be lucky

160 Vance Johnson undecided, may attend a trade school in Manhattan

171 Ryan Taylor wil go to K-State Salina to learn to fly!

189 Fernando Martinez has a scholarship in Dodge or Garden to play football

215 Tanner Ohara will attend Colorado Christian University. major yet to be determined, but I've heard he is deciding between construction or music

Good luck boys...you will all be missed

I guess I didn't put where our seniors are going and I like that others are doing that so....

#125 Michael Poland will be going to K-State next year but I don't know his major.
#160 Jess Lemon will be attending FHSU with an academic full-ride. His major will be in Physics.
#171 Noel Richardson will be following in his families long-military tradition by attending the Merchant Marines.

Rossville's lone senior, Hunter Wehner(119) is lacing up his running shoes for the upcoming track season. He is signing to run cross country for Allen County and is pursuing a degree in agriculture.
