I had to re-seed that bracket because I "assumed" that they would have been seeded in the same winning order they left the sub-district in.
But how it was better clarified to me was that the 1st 4 placing wrestler on the west side kept there earned spot. The 5th and 6th earned placers had the opportunity to be alternative wrestlers on the east's side of the bracket. They then filled the bracket in there earned ordered placing ( those in this scenario were 1st and 2nd seed ).
I hope this clarifies this a little.

I just looked at the bracket...1st & 2nd place kids both get byes (as they should), 3rd place kid wrestles 6th place kid and 4th place kid wrestles 5th place kid.....works for me.
My only problem is.........if this is allowed in subs and district, why not State. I'm not sure I agree or disagree with allowing these kids to advance, but why not stay consistant.
I have a problem....I'm good at sitting on both sides of the fence. I would be able to agree with arguements from both sides on this matter.

Makes you stop and think a bit. I think I'm leaning towards 1-4 only, but we all say the cream rises to the top, and allowing the kids to advance even though they weren't top 4 still gives them and those more mat time. Heck I don't know.
What do you guys think...

Jim and Lee; Thanks, It is an interesting discussion and topic; I can see both sides of why and/or why not to allow such substituions. Some kids will be helped by it and others will be hurt by it. Not sure where i come down on it at this point; but I do know this, I don't plan on losing any sleep over it one way or the other. LOL; Have a great night guys!

I know........If the sub district uses an 8-man bracket w/ 5 kids, then let the 5th kid go. It should have been a RR in the first place.
