Someone mentioned that Ark City had four All-Americans just thought I’d start a topic listing the top schools by Senior Nationals placers. Ark City, Bishop Carroll, and Ulysses lead the state with four All-Americans apiece. Here they are as follows:
Ark City 1992 Scott Goodale at 6th 112 1992 Justin Ware 1st at 130 1993 Chris Hernandez 1st at 152 1993 Chad Beeson 3rd at 145
Ulysses 1991 Juan Heredia 8th at 119 1992 Brandon Cruth 7th at 135 1994 Britt Madison 8th at 130 1997 Wes Walker 4th at 215
Bishop Carroll 1992 Marcus Mainz 6th at 160 2002 Jarod Vogel 3rd at 140 2002 Blake Seiler 5th at 215 2008 Jordan Keller 1st at 119
Here are the schools who have had three All-Americans:
Saint Francis 1991 Mitch Schlepp 4th at 275 1993 Chris Lampe 8th at 125 1999 Kelly Gabel 2nd at 171
Manhattan 1994 Matt Holovach 4th at 189 1995 Shawn Bammes 7th at 160 1998 Scott Coleman 1st at 160
Colby 1997 Alex Haines 8th at 215 2001 Matthew Murray 5th at 135 2006 Cole Gracia 8th at 140
Derby 1991 Clint Lopez 6th at 130 1996 Brent Orta 8th at 103 2009 Roger Windham 3rd at 103
There are several other schools who have had two All-American’s. If I left any other schools or wrestlers off the list just let me know. It was pretty hard to figure out where a lot of the older All-Americans went to school due to a lock of information on the internet.

I would say best crop is AC. Crops dont span 14 years, that is a program doing well over a long period. Not counting NCAA just talking about Highschool AA. I never saw any of those Colby boys but I wrestled the same time as all of them AC boys and they were tough as hell.

As near as I could tell Beard and Caldwell were the first All-Americans produced by Goddard.

I wasn't sure where Heredia was from, but I knew the other two were from Ulysses. Thanks.

Ulysses 1991 Juan Heredia 8th at 119 1994 Britt Madison 8th at 130 1997 Wes Walker 4th at 215 I know we are only talking High School senior Nationals, but Derek Heckel was an All American taking 4th this year from Ulysses at the NJCAA championships, which makes me think of this question: Which high school has produced the most college All Americans regardless of college division?

Just a guess, but if you're going by any division I'd go with Colby because they have a lot of kids go onto the local community college who have really performed well for Coach Lampe. There have also been numerous DI and DII All-Americans come from this high school. Abilene and Clay Center have also pumped out a lot of college All-Americans.

Ulysses also had Brandon Cruth in 1992, He placed 7th at 135. That puts us up to four! I don't know how I forgot him, although it was before my time by a few months,

Thank you. This was a case of me looking at a last name and assuming that they were brothers so if-so fact-so they should both be from Colby. Obviously I was wrong.
I do like how Scott Murray placed 7th at 112 for Nationals and before that took first at 125 at state. My guess is if he would have had to do it now where you weigh what you wrestled in your state tournament series he would have wrestled 119 (maybe 125) making his bid for an All-American a little tougher.

Bishop Carroll should have 4. Marcus Mainz got 6th at 160 in 1992.

They placed at Brute Nationals this past weekend correct. This doesn't count towards the count of high school All-Americans because this is for the NHSCA Senior National Championships hosted at Virginia Beach. While placing at Brute can sometimes be difficult, coming away with a win let alone the title of All-American from the Beach is on a totally different level when compared to Brute, especially this year with three other "national" tournaments taking away from the sometimes tough Brute Nationals.

Another addition would be Riley Ross who was a two-time All American at the University of Nebraska Kearney (NCAA Div II).
