I've always liked and admired C.J from the first time I saw him on the mats nearly 6 years ago. I had a lot of fun watching him and Kendric last weekend at the Senior Classic. To C.J and the rest of our Kansas wrestlers you've made us proud.

Best of wishes to you as you continue your career at Nebraska.

Congratulations C.J. and family. Way to respond greatly to the Senior Classic Maple loss. I am sure the loss was disappointing although it would be "ok" to lose to Maple because he is a stud too and proved it at Senior Nationals. Congrats to all Kansas wrestlers, coaches and parents and congrats to the All-Americans. Great showing Team Kansas.

Hey C.J. and Poppa, Randy Westfahl here. A most hearty "attaboy" on that deal. I know you all must be just overwhelmed by all of that and I just wanted to add my congrats to the thousand you have already heard. We at the Basehor-Linwood tourney have sure enjoyed watching C.J. wrestle there and on behalf of all of us "Great Job" it was a proud deal for sure.

If I can remember back a while. I think the last big 8 heavyweight champ was from Nebraska and also from Kansas. Is that true?. If I remember right he was also from the SEK.

What a weekend C.J. had. His mom told me that he had to forgo prom to go. That's too bad, but wow!

Proms are highly over-rated anyway. He didn't miss much, if anything!

Congrats to CJ and the Kansas team. CJ it was a blast being your roommate in VB-V. I know the Vesta family and I were wondering if you ever sleep?. Good Luck in Vegas and the rest of the Olympic Style wrestling circut. I know Jeffrey and I will see you at the Junior Duals in OKC. Big Thank You to Chuck & Cheri, Gary for the organization of the event.
Kansas Community FYI the 25 of us in the last group to leave the Doubletree Hotel at VB-V arrived at Norfolk Airport to a weather delay. The Vesta s and I were able to get bumped twice and ended up First Class to Detroit to KCI via Delta. Some 16 hours later. Other then that it was a great trip organized by the Elvins. Great wrestling best match of the weekend Brandon Terry of Augusta and Sean Leroy of Chanute, You guys were great. Also Kudos to Mike Church of Wichita If I remember right four of the six AA were working out in the Heights wrestling room. Kansas also had three other kids wrestling late saturday and were in the final 12. All of the People in the Kansas group were great to be with and can't wait until next year. RMG

Robert Gonzales,

I am glad to hear you got back, safely. Myself, Chaz, Dustin, Alex, and the Windham family flew back to KC about noon the next day. The airline did finally provide us with hotel rooms and a fist full of meal vouchers. You and the Vestas likely got the last of the singleton seats left on any airline flying out of Norfolk.

I certainly hope that leg gets better soon and I am looking forward to our trip next year, as well.
