I wanted to let everyone know that we (Manhattan/Shawnee Heights) attended the world class team camp over the past 3 and half days. I would highly recommend this camp as the camp directors really took care of us. The technique sessions were great and we were able to wrestle a lot of matches. Most of the guys on our team wrestled 14-16 matches. The coaches were all great about getting kids matched up to get good matches rather than just trying to win the duals. Thanks to all those that put on the camp and hopefully we will continue going to this camp and I would also like to see a few more Kansas kids there. There were schools from Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska at the camp. Our kids really enjoyed the camp and showed a lot of improvement.

Good to see you all made it home Chad. Congrats to Manhattan/Shawnee Heights on taking home the team title! That was a pretty scrappy crew you all brought up to Iowa. It was fun doing camp with you guys. Didn't your coaching staff win the bean-bag title as well?

Overall there were 164 wrestlers and teams with state champions from 5 states: Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Illinois.

Terry Brands was a stunning clinician and motivational speaker. Like everyone else there, I was floored!

Thanks again Chad for your kind words and participation in this camp! Although it was our first year up in Iowa, we knew we had the Clinicians, Directors, and Volunteer staff to pull it off well.

It was great getting to know you, your staff, and your athletes and we look forward to next year, as well as seeing you at Brute/ Adidas Nationals this Winter.

The hotel staff stated, "we have never seen kids from ANY other sport be as kind, polite, and complimentary as the WRESTLERS who stayed here this week."

Keep in touch!

Jeff Ziegler

I second your statement on Brands. He was awesome!

Also, I know some of my coaches have some battle wounds from the firing squad playing bags. It was hilarious.

Kids from 6 states now represented at this camp. Campers from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, and now Illinois are all ready to learn from World Class Clinicians and wrestle 12-15 matches one month from today.

Up to 200 campers! Duckunder does it again. Sounds like we are going to have a camp as good as last year.

Im looking forward to coming back for the camp. It's one of the top 5 in the country for sure.

I hope Brands doesn't need me to work out w/ him again. Maybe I will slip on a knee brace before he shows up and then limp around all morning.
