Quinton Hicks will win state at either 95 or 100. He placed 4th last year at 88. Definitely one of the best young guns in the state. That is a bold statement to make in early December. I am sure there are some quality opponents out there for him. I have to agree with dagwood. What the ADULTS need to remember is that the KIDS have to back-up all the smack talk. It would be nice if the Smack Talkers had to back it up instead of the kids. You'll never catch me guarantee a win for my kid. Too much competition out there, too many unknowns to guarantee anything.

Looks like he actually placed 4th at 80, not 88.

Hicks91, I've had two wrestlers knock heads and unsuccessfully with Quinton and I would almost put money on him to take States this year. Gutsy or not I would back you on that prediction.

He was in my sons bracket at state & I had never seen or heard of him before. I was impressed the kid is good. I think Rope Dorman beat him in the semis. I will jump out on a limb with steele. I think he will win state.

Luellen, Issac and Dalton will be seeing each again this year. Issac should be looking real strong at 100. I wish Colton would drop down and try Isaiah in folkstyle. Colton is at 95 this year. Isaiah has some tough kids in his bracker like Jones from JC among others.

That makes 4 out of that 67 bracket to watch this year with Newton, Fisher, and Hartley all still 8U as well. [/quote] I had a nephew at that weight last year and watched it at State(although he didn't make it). It was loaded and those 4 coming back are all very, very good. Think Newton and Fisher stand out. Looking at 6 Under State from two years ago, Newton was 1st, Fisher was 1st, Hartley was 1st, and Miller 3rd (Loss came to Fisher). That's pretty tough competition in one bracket, but so fun to watch. From what Ive seen there all pretty good kids and sports as well. Watched Miller more than others and he has always (which isn't very often) handled a loss the same as a defeat. Always shakes refs hand and keeps his head up. Nice to see. And no, he is not related to me.haha

Hartley won 6U state both times! I think Hartley and Newton is a great match to watch! All those guys should place and my guess is you might see two of those names in the finals!

maybe we can talk hartley into throwing all those kids into one bracket at the haysville tournament. hartley, schroeder, young, miller, miller from renegades, fisher, newton, bockover, spexarth, bowen, throw in a couple others that im not able to remember and that would be exciting.

I have set up brackets in the past. Have coaches get in touch with me and I will see what I can do. All must be in agreeance for that to be done, since the weight difference could be an issue. Let me know, I am not hard to find on Saturdays.

Just my opinion on Quinton, and yes it was 80lbs...so please forgive the mistake. There is a lot of good competition, and this post was asking for opinions on who we thought would be the top guns. If I offended anyone, sorry! But, I must say that if you can't handle other's opinions, you shouldn't be on this site.
