My name is John Hancock. I am the Head wrestling coach at Putnam City West High School in Oklahoma City, OK. I have just found out that our administration will not let us out of school early to go wrestle at the Derby tournament because it is the day of our finals. Therefor I am looking for a 1 day tournament on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010. January 9th Tournaments

I would recommend Wichita North, Maize, and Salina South since they are all easy drives up I-35 and have similar sized schools as Putnam West.

If you are willing to drive a couple of extra hours you might look a Liberal, Bonner Springs, Shawnee Mission South, or Louisburg. Liberal generally draws teams from other states like Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado if you are looking for more than just Kansas kids to wrestle.
