What weight is Pursell from Lansing going to wrestle, and what happen to him at Emporia. Bo wrestled 112 at, loosing to Boyer from MV. Bo wrestled one match at Emporia--getting a Fall in o8 seconds, and then forfeited out the rest of the tournament.
Also, where was Wessel from Lansing--did not wrestle. Some kind of injury???

I know Jake Gentzler is pretty good, but good enough to be ranked at two weights?

Just wondering about ranking criteria. Pittsburg is on the rise. They took second with 9 wrestlers at Gardner Edgerton. Second to Seneca, Mo at Carl Junction and 3rd of 19 teams at Claremore, Oklahoma without one of their top wrestlers. They field a full team, but have had to go without one or two wrestlers due to academic committments. It's just weird that Pitt moved down a spot and Gardner moved up to #7 from #10. What goes into the rankings. I know all that matters is what happens at state, I'm just curious.

Gentzler will probably stay at 125, but he is certified and hydrated at 119.

Pittsburg has several kids that are able to pick up points in these tournaments but will probably not place in state. However, their heavyweight (Bennet)is one that has picked up points in every tournament so far and has only one loss. He is the most improved wrestler that I have seen. He has beaten several ranked wrestlers already this year and will hopefuly find himself on the podium this year.

I appreciate all of the hard work that go into these rankings, but I do have 1 question. How does a 6A wrestler like Josh Pressgrove from Washburn Rural get ranked ahead of anyone in 5A at 189? I know that Steven Cooksley of Seaman beat Pressgrove on Dec. 16 by the score of 12-7. I was just curious about a 6A wrestler getting ranked in 5A. I think waiting for our Regional Assignments have made us all a little crazy.

5A mistake aside, Pressgrove had a great tournament at Emporia on Sataurday, pinning Williams and placing 2nd ahead of Cooksley who took 4th.

I agree that Pressgrove finished ahead of Cooksley at Emporia. They were on opposite sides of the bracket, Williams defaulted to Cooksley, and Cooksley took 4th due to the 5-match rule, losing a coin flip. It still doesn't explain why a 6A is ranked in 5A. If Cooksley needs to be dropped out of the rankings, that is fine, but not because a wrestler from a different classification (who Cooksley has beaten head-to-head) finished ahead of him in a tournament. That was my only point.

That was an obvious unintentional mistake. I'm sure he'll change that.

Schwager of Gb 5th after split matches with Bontz. Schwager won the last one 6-2 i think this should bump him up more than 5th NOT saying he should take over the 2nd rank because they have split but should at least me 3rd if Bontz it staying at 2nd...
