Thank you Lee.
The other person listed on your flyer said no and we tried to explain that you had written it on the forum boards but still they insisted it was a mistake. Glad you clarified this. With the Winter storm advisory we were thinking we'd just take the weights of the wrestlers weighing in at the tournament (Saturday 1-29-10).

Ricki, your comment was uncalled for with the language you used when you posted your message. Remember there are children that read these forums. If you had called me last night you would have heard the same message that was told to the pittsburg mom. For your information when the flyer was made up, we decided NOT to have remote weigh-ins. The president of the club posted this information and DID NOT inform me. So, therefore, what information I was giving out last night was correct to my acknowledge. Since I'm a more polite person than you are...I am apologizing for giving out incorrect information.

FORT SCOTT OPEN & NOVICE IS ACCEPTING REMOTE WEIGH-INS FOR THEIR TOURNAMENT. The rule for the remote weigh-ins are to weigh the wrestlers in on Friday night or sometime Saturday prior to 9pm (not to be done Wednesday or Thursday night) by a High School certified coach or Activity Director and will need to be emailed by 9pm Saturday by coach/AD with exact weight to the email address on the flyer.

I hope this clears up everything.

Let's clear this conundrum up---your stating weights taken by the tournament the kids are entered on Saturday are UNSATISFACTORY to be sent for Ft. Scott's remote weigh-in's?

sometimes you moms are more competitive than your kids. can't we all just get along?

send in the weights. period. we are pushing this remote weigh in thing too far. this shouldn't be this hard. either trust the club sending in the weights or don't. how many clubs have a "high school certified" coach? what does that mean? how many have an AD that will come up and weigh the kids? i know our high school coaches will be out of town with the high school team, as will our AD.

Columbus IS having remote weigh-in opportunity....however most clubs will be having practice Thurs. night...fortunately we have an A.D. that can verify weights. Thursday night weights are too early for Fort Scott (o.k. for Columbus) -- I was hoping the kids could hop on the scale @ Columbus and the weights would satisfy Ft. Scott...but I'm not sure any of the volunteers are HS certified or they'll have their A.D. there come tournament time on Saturday. + Ft. Scott is giving 1 lb allowance.

I do respect Integrity & Honesty as we all do. Just where we are at. Might have to travel to Ft. Scott by 0800 on Sunday.

Well then...I was just trying to make it easier for everyone so the kids could wrestle on sunday, get a good nights sleep, eat a decent meal, and have an ejoyable time wrestling. Well, I won't ever do that again. Sorry if I created any undue stress or difficulty for anyone.

i think you were doing the right thing mr blackburn. i think the problem seems to be between in it to win it, and fs wresters mom. i think the problem is not every one has a "high school certified" coach (still not sure what that means), or an AD on sight on a friday evening or saturday afternoon to send in the weights.

what would it hurt to send in the weights from the columbus tourney? would a club coach do?

i think that is what everyone is trying to clear up. again don't make this hard, it isn't. simple questions and simple answers is what i think everyone is looking for here

again can't we all just get along.

Lee--
Headup hit it right on target....I was only hoping the weights that the kids weighed in from the tournament on Saturday would suffice---and did not intend to cause a remorseful situation.
The positives of remote weigh-ins surpass the negatives.

well ity seems we all just need to listen to mr. blackburn and not fs mom so lets all weigh in on thursday just send them on sat and nobody is hurt. Seems only need the permission of the president and we all got it.
