Could care less about the ones who cut the most.
I weighed in the 5A and 6A wrestlers at the State Tournament. For those who are impressed with Parker Madl, prepare to be WOWWED. Parker stepped on the scale in full sweats and wrestling shoes on and I think he weighed 165. I would not be surprised if he walks around at 160, and he was an undefeated 171 lb state champ. WOW!!!

How about the 4A Heavyweight Caleb Clayton Molby from Eudora? How much did he cut to get down to the 200 lbs that it looks like he weighed?

He has looked like that for 4 years. Some big FB school needs to grab him and have him put on about 50 to 60 lbs of flab and make him a defensive tackle!

I'm with Beeson on that one. Madl was ripped and he put a NASTY half-nelson on Reed in the semi's. BAD DUDE!!

It is very impressive considering how dominate he was this season. That could bite him in the butt in a month if he's wrestling at high school nationals. If he is only weighing 160 now I'd imagine he'll be giving up about 30 pounds to most wrestlers by the time the tournament starts. I really wish they allowed you to wrestle at the lowest weight you certified at for senior nationals. This used to be the case but they changed the rule to the weight you wrestled during the state championship series that year.

He will be fine at Sr. Nationals.

This is one of the last chances that a senior wrestler has to showcase their skills so they are willing to drop the extra weight especially if they have been doing it all season. The weight differential is certainly not going to aid Parker when he wrestles the elite guys from PA, CA, NJ, and OH. Hopefully, he proves me wrong and brings home a National Championship.

The Junior dual wrestlers are not "most athletes". I can assure you that Illinois, Ohio, Iowa and Oklahoma wrestlers were down to their fighting weights. He did the same thing at Fargo, which is the ultimate big stage.

You would be surprised to see how many wrestlers will pull down to weight classes lower than what they wrestled during high school season for Fargo. So to say that wrestlers are not serious about cutting weight during the summer is a very bold statement.

I know that Tanner Kriss last year went to senior nationals weighing 199 and had to wrestle guys weighing 218, and it made a huge difference. I watched everyone in that bracket and thought Tanner had the most skill, he just wasn't big enough to handle the weight difference.

Jeremiah Breen cut 20 pounds to 119 and was already back up to 140 by wednesday Wow, that makes him cool. Why would you even post something so ridiculous. I guarantee stupid remarks like this are not helping the sport. Proof that the hydration test is flawed, or that his coach didn't care to follow it.
