are the brackets going to be on trackwrestling tonight? or just the entries?

Just entries...we will not build brackets until after weigh ins have completed.

This gives us the opportunity to delete out of the tournament scratches...in some cases it may force us to combine weights...

Are the finalists from the morning session not wrestling until the 6:30 championships.

That is correct.

so, if weights are combined does that mean the child must make their original weight or whatever the new combined weight is? Never have been sure of this- thanks!

Just curious, the finals start at 630, is that just first place matches? or is that considered 1st and 3rd place matches? Should the kids place 3rd or 4th, if they aren't wrestling 3rd place matches in the evening, do they have to wait around for awards?

Wildcat...if we combine weights, your wrestler just has to make the higher weight...

The finals are Championship finals only. We are going to try to distribute awards for 3/4 as they happen so those wrestlers do not have to stick around if they do not want to.

Are any of the State Champs going to but heads at the classic this year?

Don't know about Hays but looked at TW for Park City entry's and 8 Under 76lbs has 3 National Placers and two state placers. That should be fun to watch for those that are there.

now all the weights are in!! will the brackets be up later tonight or will we have to wait till the morning anyone know?

Foster will be working on them until midnight or 1 am. All of the weights have to be manually entered from our weighins tonight at Hartman arena, plus all of the satellite weigh in locations.

They WILL start at 8:00 am with the morning session kids.

this is awesome, thank you for breaking it down like you did, the teams & #'s girls & states as well. that is helpful and also good to see the #'s how & where they are from as well.

I think that some of us are not aware of all the hard work that goes into something like this even the small ones. this does help for us to see #'s I think.

Thank you again to all of you who are putting in all these hrs for this tourney! All the coaches for all of their extra work on these as well. putting it together and organizing it all for the teams. it would not be done with out you!
