I have been fortunate to have two sons who have won State Championships and I have been lucky enough to coach one to a title in high school. My son Dylan this year coached his little brother Jace to a State title. I was curious how often this has happened in the past either as a head coach or an assistant.

Surprisingly enough - Jace's match at 135 (321A) against Kale Newell would have had the same result no matter who won. Kale's brother was coaching him in the corner as well as an assistant.

Not sure in how many times it has happened in Kansas, but I am guessing it's fairly common.

Fathers coaching sons are fairly common, but I do not remember many brothers that have coached their brother. Esp. to a state title.

Anyone know if this has happened in KS? This is my Dad's thread, but I have to admit I'm a little curious.
