The Hutchinson News has a nice article on the Girls State Championship this past weekend in McPherson. To see the article and video clip, go to www.hutchnews.com/Todaystop/Becoming-a-girl-s-world--1.

Thanks Mr. Juby!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Tourney great day....but... I know there was bad weather and all but it is unfortunate that just three weeks before in the same location with the same exact tournament staff we put on a tourney for Kent Bailo and had 104 girls. We have one for USAW-KS and we have 47. We have always had more girls at the Bailo tourney than the USAW-KS. Just wondering if anyone has any comments with regard to why this is happening?

Not to take away from the awesome article the Hutch News Did!!!!!!!!!!Good Jobs Girls....Good job media. Lets go kick some butt in OKC!

Great to see the girls get some pub in the paper like that. Not sure on the number of girls at the different tourneys except maybe that Bailo mails out fliers months in advance. Sure that the weather had alot to do with the attendance yesterday.
Hope we have a good showing of girls in Oklahoma and make our state look good at nationals.

I agree with the last post, the Bailo tourney seems to get more promotion. I also think that having it during districts doesn't help. Some girls wrestled districts and didn't want to double up. Others have brothers that wrestle and they had to travel and their parents are just to tired or worn out to make the trip. All of these though are not great excuses and we really should support every tournament they offer. I am just trying to shed some light on the topic.
