Valeria just had her first match of the year. The score was 5 - 0 her after round 1. She scored three more points after cradling the poor kid. She tightened it up and pinned him. Way to go Valeria.

Valeria lost her second match. She got pinned in the second round by Tristan star. He is a state and national champion. She set a goal to make it to the second round and she achieved that. Way to go.

Valeria is an impressive wrestler! I know Tristan gets super focused to wrestle her. We've watched her get on the mat with her intense look and pin experienced club kid wrestlers in a heartbeat. While wrestling boys, she gives up strength but makes up for it with technique, heart, and a warrior mentality. She made "Valeria" fans out of our whole family. She's tough and I know of a little girl who couldn't wait to get on the mat after watching her. Can't wait to see her in action this year!

Seaman tournament yesterday. Well ran. Thanks to all the great Teachers and Students. Valeria took 4th. She was not allowed to finish that match due to a head to the eye. It swoll shut almost instantly. All is well today. Most of the swelling is gone but will be black for awhile. Thanks for the support and concern.
