I was looking at the entries for derby novice championship and noticed a kid that my son wrestled at the classic last year. Is it first year or not.If not then don't say first year and we will check.Or put a minimum amount of tournaments you have wrestled. We have kids in the 6u 49 bracket Sunday that are true first year kids if we come up against that kid I will let Derby know about it. Oh I checked and he wrestled the Novice championships last year at 43.

Quit BOO HOOING and tell Derby now....don't wait until you MIGHT wrestle them. They posted the entries...I'm sure Derby would love to find out now instead of at the tournament. Quit Crying and Tell them.

If you cannot read the flyer that says first year wrestlers ONLY 2010-2011 then maybe someone should help the process along. I don't have a problem with it being brought up!! It is a one (1) shot deal. The flyer also states that Derby will be checking USA cards. Maybe they did not recieve the correct information?
Either way I am confident that Derby will get to the bottom of it. They run a great tournament!!

I couldnt get a hold of anyone last night.It was too late but i will bring it up today first thing. The bad thing is now the kid will be ready to wrestle and I dont like taking matches from kids because coaches are idiots. It is too late to get in another tourney.

I put it on here to let people know that some one will know. Derby is a great place to wrestle and i dont want it turned around to be derbys fault . it is the one who entered him.

Taken care of. Without naming names, I will say that this kid is now deleted from the tournament. I was having internet issues all day Friday and was unable to do my checks until this morning. I have a couple of kids that have been flagged and it will be dealt with.

There now...jumped the gun a little. Those Derby folks are pretty good people if you give them the chance.

I got a 4 yr old that weighs 31 lbs who will never get to wrestle in this one. I bought the usa card so she could practice, and I guess that makes her ineligible next year when she might actually make the bottom weight class at 5 yrs old. I understand why the rules are there, but just because you buy or don't buy a card doesn't change a wrestlers status. Not all first year wrestlers are novice, just like a kid wrestling for 10 years does not make them experts or advanced.

Not saying that you will get in next year but I am sure Derby will work with you on this.I talked with them today and they are a great bunch. There goal is to have a tourney for rookies and they do a great job at that. This is one of the most fun tourneys around. It is relaxed and people let the new kids enjoy themselves so they will continue.

Can anyone tell me how to view the wrestler lists I tried to access it from derby's meet site and it says its not available to the public yet. I have a couple kids I would like to check.

I didn't put it on here to make Derby look bad, I put it on here to let people know that someone would notice. And i had the friday frustration going on. I Apologize if I came off wrong with my post.They are good people.
