Once again for entertainment purposes only. Went through and predicted each match. This is also the first time I've spent less than a day working on this. Also, I can't remember scratching my head dumbfounded as much on a bracket as this year's heavyweight bracket.

Its tough when we dont see most of these guys. We only have results to go from, and what people are saying about them. The one I would really watch for is Himpel at 112. MUCH better at this time then early in the season, and without knowing much about others, could very well be higher than 6th. Also Hobson at 145 will be solid, and probally a placer. Caleb Seaton is on a mission this year to get that elusive title, if the shoulder doesnt fall off.

What are the odds on the cokeley/son semi-final, or is it a done deal.

I am sure the Cokelys' know exactly what they are up against on this one. In my opinion this will be Ryne's toughest match. Sam is hungry for a state title, he has come close twice before, and is looking dangerous this year. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. this match should have taken place in the finals, but thats just the way it goes.

That 152 bracket is probably one of the hardest out of any class this year.

152 has become plenty crowded in AC also with Trey Houlden moving up.

I would have to go with 171 then 160 for the best overall competition to place in the top 6.

I see Kelly of Abilene finishing higher than 4th. And Strauss should be in the finals of 135. Picking lower than Easterberg? No he'll make the finals. And Ward is a top 3 wrestler.

160 is much tougher then 152 this year and Strauss did get pinned by Costa i wouldnt guarantee a finals appearance on him.

No doubt 160 is nails tough, but don't discount 152. Cokely Son most likely in one semifinal, and Duhr and Kelley both have work to do to make to the other semifinal. Obviously Cokeley is the heavy favorite, but Kelley, Son, Duhr have had some very close matches this year, then throw in all of the others that are not to be discounted as well.

The Picking Hattabaugh match 2nd round will be worth the price of admission. Then the winner of that turns around to wrestle most likely Lovvorn in the semis..........It does look like Easterberg has the "easiest" route to the finals, but don't throw out Haug either........
Lots of good brackets at Salina. This one looks like one of the best

And how about the Anderson Grimes matchup in the semis? That could be a key match in determining the team state champion. I know there are lots of other key matches, but if Anderson doesn't make the finals, that will hurt CC's chances. If he gets in, Andale will need a surprise semifinalist or finalist to keep them in the hunt.

In my opinion, Andale needs more than just Thoman and Miller to place 6th at these 4 weights. Like it is every year, the team that sucks it up and wrestles well on the backside will win the team title......... 119-- 1. Hood 2. Wolf 3. Mendenhall 4. Kolterman 5. Miller 6. Nemer
125 1. Newport 2. Hines 3. Wrestler 4. Seaton 5. Morgan 6. Miller
130 1. Johnson 2. Kriss 3. Murdock 4. McBride 5. Gehring 6. Thoman
135 1. Seaton 2. Blackwell 3. Strauss 4. Clark 5. Kolterman 6. Erbe

I know Symon Seaton, last year's champ at 125, has been flying under the radar a bit because of his mid-season injury, but I would still consider him a pretty substantial obstacle for anyone on his side of the bracket. Strauss has had a spectacular year, but that is a tough second round draw!
