It is amazing that all the posts with downs in it are first posts of the screen name, is there some pr going on here.

Downs is a good tough kid but if Disney, Haberman or Josh Rodriquez are in bracket with i think he is the fourth guy,,

I noticed Downs is always mentioned also, But Downs is Tuff. He had one of the top 215lbs in the state wrestling varsity in front of him in High School or you would have seen a lot of him as a freshman this year. No disrespect to Haberman & Josh. I’ve seem both of them wrestle and Downs will win. As far as Disney goes, Atticus is a very fine wrestler and will always be one of the best to beat. From what I see, they will meet at the Classic this weekend. Disney will be favored, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Downs wins with a pin. It will be a good match either way.

I understand your point and Tyler is a tuff kid for sure. My main point is that i feel we are getting the JEFF PETERSON/ADAM VENEGAS public relations blitz here. He won't pin Disney though and will bet a box of cracker jacks on that one anytime.

Park city predictions
Disney
Downs
Haberman

All I know is that Josh Rodriquez is heavier than Downs and Haberman. Downs and Haberman are 205. I agree Kanwrman about that Park city predictions
Disney
Downs
Haberman

But I still think if Disney and Downs make it to the finals that it wont be a easy match. It will be a great hard match. And for who ever takes the gold. GREAT GOB TO U.

Ha-ha, I agree on the PR blitz. I’ve noticed some of the kids are trying to pump each other up. That big red bulls eye can get might large if they don’t watch out.

The commit about pinning Disney, I said Disney would be favored, he will ALWAYS be the one to beat. I said I wouldn’t be surprised IF Downs won it was by pin. I didn’t predict a pin or that even that he would win. That may be the only way he will win, who knows. But just in case, keep that good ol box of cracker jacks around, they might be stale, but someday I might get to eat them. Good luck to all the wrestlers. There all good kids.

Let me step in here. Tyler and I have great respect for Barry and Atticus. The boys have wrestled each other since they were little guys and if you notice, neither one is very little any more. So it’s been awhile. They are friends before they get on the mat and they will always be friends after they get off the mat. If the boys meet this weekend, it will be the same as all the matches in the past. Good hard wrestling by both boys. I just wanted everyone to know how we feel and we will ALWAYS respect EVERYONE.

Wrestle hard – good luck to all.

Both Tyler and Atticus are good wrestlers, and they and their families are all very good people. While we only met Tyler last year, my son has wrestled Atticus off and on through the years. It should be a great match if they meet, good luck to both! I'll be a silent spectator for that match, I couldn't root against either one.

I agree both kids are great, and I call both kids and both dads friend. I have been in Tyler's corner for Kids wrestling for the last couple of years and work out with him in the room, except when he messes up knee. If these two go at it at the classic, it will be a classic. However, getting there is an assumption; I think Tyler and Atticus both know they take one match at a time and that until that match is completed you don't speculation about the finals. A good reminder as to why both boys are champions.

I agree with Mr. Downs. Tyler and Atticus have the right attitude towards each other. Wrestle hard and whoever wins will win. No crying... no bragging. They know there is always someone they can beat and always someone who can beat them. I would still like to know if the guys in the bracket have to weigh in at the weight they sent in (Atticus 215) or simply must be under the heaviest kid in the bracket (Devader 225).

I was wondering about that also. Tyler really isn't fighting holding his weight, but it would be nice to know. Looking at the flyer, they only offer one phone number and it references about combining weight classes. The number is to the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission (265-6236) I really don't know if they could help or not. The Tournament Officials are Rob Brewster (Tour.Dir.) & Brian Hargtove (A.Tour.Dir.) If someone knows how to get a hold of them, I'm sure they could answer that question.
