Maybe that is over stating it a little but not much...I gotta give props to Geary the 285 from Topeka. He does have to be one of the tops in the state. And for me to say that about a HWT is amazing in itself. That is not to slight Conklin-Wright, Reed, Bontz, Hood, my son or anyone else. But I have been around wrestling my whole life. And I have very rarely if ever seen a 285 that wrestles and moves like that. Nathan Butler might grow into that, but Geary hits shot, scrambles like a middleweight. I was impressed! Atticus Disney was awesome but he wrestled like a heavyweight. (One with a badass headlock), but a heavyweight. Geary wrestles like a middle weight, but is huge.
Hats off to him, he rolled through a bracket with 2-#1's and 3-#2's in it with ease. He was correctly awarded the OW. When was the last time a 285 got OW? I had probably 5-6 people start coversations with me about how impressive he was. I have never met the kid, but wanted to give him his due.
Maybe I am overstating it, but I see excellent wrestlers around the state, but can't remember one like him.
