Whats going on out in goodland with the program? No head coach or a interim. Why did the head coach leave before the first season was over. Lots of rumors.

This isn't their first season. They have an interim head coach, it's the Head Women's wrestling coach from my understanding.

Lots of new things happening at NWKTC, they announced just recently they are adding Men's & Women's basketball teams next year as well. They are very progressive that's for sure, not sure long term how it will play out though.

The rumors are just that rumors, I'm sure if anyone really wants to know Coach Lampe would be happy to answer any and all questions.

I didn't realize Lampe was out! This is technically the second year of the program though. Good opportunity for a young coach.

The following is posted on the schools web site:

Head Wrestling Coach/Coordinator
Northwest Tech is seeking an experienced individual responsible for coaching and coordinating the college’s wrestling programs. Interested persons should submit a resume with references. Position open until filled.

The women's coach is also the men's and women's soccer coach. The president wants them to join the Jayhawk conference. Wonder I Lampe didn't want to deal with that.

Might be worth adding that the new athletic director coached 6 national championship teams at the juco level.

Hopefully the new person will take pride and post results and promote their team, as well as field a full squad!
